Backcountry Conservation and Education Fund

Our Mission

To improve wildlife habitat, inspire the next generation of nature stewards, and ignite a lifelong love of the outdoors for all.

The Backcountry Conservation & Education Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides the resources to take on conservation projects and education efforts in the Backcountry Wilderness Area. From large-scale, on-going projects such as fire mitigation and battling noxious weeds to specific wildlife projects like our “water taco” wildlife hydration systems and trail monitoring surveys, all the work done through this nonprofit go toward the upkeep and improvements of our unique wildlife conservation property just outside the Denver metro area. The education branch of the nonprofit aims to provide more low-cost programs for explorers of all ages, to fund trips for more students out to Backcountry programs through stipends for school bus transportation, and to build a Camp Backcountry grant program, among many other initiatives.
