Archery Range Info

• No Trespassing. All archers must have a day or season pass on their person. 
• Range is open ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset 
• No Skydrawing and No Broadheads! 
• Follow archery shooting procedures 
• Only shoot at designated targets 
• Always be aware of the target and what is beyond the target 
• Always keep bow pointed toward targets 
• Only nock arrows at the shooting line and only when everyone is behind the shooting line 
• Children under 16 must be under adult supervision at all times 
• No alcohol, drugs, or smoking of any kind
• No dogs 
• Firearms, paintball guns, and all other projectiles are prohibited 
• Crossbows are permitted but must use their own crossbow specific target
• Trash cans are not provided, pack out whatever you bring in.
• Lesson range is for use by approved coaches and their students only on a rental basis, it is not open for public use. 
• Safety is your responsibility. If you see something unsafe, speak up. 
• Ranges are not monitored at all times, in an emergency dial 911 
• Use of the archery range is at your own risk 
• Ranges are under 24 hour video surveillance
• Trash cans are not provided, pack out whatever you pack in 

Violations of rules and regulations may result in prosecution in accordance with private property laws of the state of Colorado and/or enforcement pursuant to the HRCA covenant and rule enforcement policy. 

• Verify that the range is clear before shooting
• When finished shooting, place your bow on rack or set it down and wait behind the shooting line until all archers are ready to collect arrows down range
• Give a “Cease Fire” command to indicate all shooting should stop
• Verify that all equipment is put down or racked behind the shooting line
• Proceed to the targets to retrieve arrows
• When people are waiting to shoot, take turns and limit number of shots to 6 or less
• If you put up your own targets, take them with you when you are done; leave no trash behind
• Archers should police themselves to ensure safety

• Each Shot has three elements: The station marker, shot markers, and the target; archers may shoot from the station marker and/or shot markers. Not all stations have shot markers. 
• Shoot from designated markers only and only at designated targets 
• Before you shoot, identify the shot markers and the target. Be aware of the target and what is beyond the target. 
• Always keep bow pointed toward targets 
• Only nock arrows at the shot marker 
• Multiple targets may be visible from a station. Only shoot at the target for that particular station. Identify the station and the target before you shoot 
• Never shoot when someone is down range or in front of you in any way 
• Do not loiter at the targets or on the trail between stations. Only rest/pause at station markers or designated rest areas 
• Stay on the trails, do not shortcut. 
• When fetching arrows, use the trail to the target and return back to the main trail via same trail. 
• When fetching arrows, always leave your bow on the station marker’s bow holders to alert other archers someone is down range 
• Never shoot when a bow is hanging on a station marker
