Batting Cages

The Batting Cages at Westridge offer five baseball and four softball stalls ranging in speed from 30-80 mph. Home-run target banners provide realistic results in a user-friendly pitching complex. Future little league batters will enjoy the Tiny Tees Ballpark.

Key Batting Cage Information

  • Season: March - October
  • Note: Cage 1 reserved for HRCA Day Camp on Monday/Friday 3-3:30 p.m. & Wednesday/Friday from 2-2:30 p.m. until August 23.
  • Hours*
    April 1 - May 24: Monday - Friday, 4 – 7 p.m.; Saturday - Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    May 25 - September 1: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
    September 2: Labor Day: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    September 3 - October 27***: Saturday & Sunday only, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    *Batting cages hours are dependent of weather | *hours subject to change
    ***If weather permits the batting cages may extend the season an additional two weeks. 
  • Age: Batters must be six years or older to use the cages. An adult must accompany all batting cage players under the age of 10.
  • Equipment: Bats and helmets are provided; batters must wear helmets with face mask protection at all times. 
  • Only one person is permitted in the batting cages at a time.

 Tiny Tees Ballpark

The Tiny Tees Ballpark was built in 2012 to encourage kids ages 2-7 to have a great time playing on their own mini-ballpark! Since then over 10,000 future little league batters have used the ballpark; which comes complete with a homerun fence, foul poles, and bases. Bring your little players out today!

 Batting Cage Passes

  • Full Season Pass: $175 individual or $300 for the entire family
  • Heavy Hitter Home Run Pass - 80 tokens for $50
  • Heavy Hitter Triple Pass - 50 tokens for $35
  • Heavy Hitter Double Pass - 25 tokens for $20
  • Pricing: $1 token = 16 pitches | $10 for 11 tokens


 Private Baseball/Softball Hitting Instruction 

Hitting Instruction is designed to get players, ages 6-14, ready for their season!  One hour private lessons also include FREE batting for that entire day. Lessons must be scheduled in advance and maximum of three players per session. Call now as slots filling fast 303-471-8846. Price: $25/half hour.


 Pitch Structure

The Westridge Pitch Structure is open for use year-round. Distances are clearly marked for all age groups. You are required to bring your own equipment. We have limited gloves and baseballs available for hire.

Batting Cages Rules & Regulations
  • Based on manufacturer’s recommendations, only batters 6 years of age and older may use the cages. An adult must accompany all batting cage players under the age of 10. The manufacturer also requires that no one under the age of 16 is allowed to use cages throwing the effective speed of 70-75 Mph.
  • The batting cages are open seasonally. Opening and closing dates are posted online and at the recreation centers.
  • A fee is charged to use the batting cages.
  • Team and individual reservations are available and have priority.
  • Bats and helmets are provided. Wood or damaged bats may not be used.
  • Batters must wear helmets with face mask protection at all times.
  • Only one person is permitted in the batting cages at a time. Coaches/parents must remain outside the cages.
  • Close gates at all times when entering or exiting the cages.
  • The machines may pitch balls at any time, inside and outside of the strike zone.
  • Batters are not allowed to cross the red line. Please be alert at all times.
  • Batters must wear closed toe shoes and should not pick up any ballsfrom the ground during the round. (No Baseball/Softball Cleats)
  • Switch-hitting is not allowed once a round has started.
  • The batting cages may close periodically due to weather conditions (rain, lightning, etc.)
  • Users assume the inherent risks of batting baseballs and softballs. If users have any question about the use of this device or the inherent risks associated with the use of this device, please ask the attendant before using the batting cages. HRCA is not liable for any resulting injury.
  • Warnings posted at the entrance must be thoroughly understood and strictly followed.
