Community Scholarships

Created in 2003, the Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund (HRC SF) is a 501(c)3 organization that provides post-secondary education scholarships in Highlands Ranch. Scholarships awarded will go to students who have demonstrated well-rounded participation in their school or community through volunteerism and service hours. 2023 will mark the Fund's 20th year of awarding scholarships to students living in Highlands Ranch. To celebrate, HRCSF will be granting twenty $2,500 scholarships to selected applicants. We invite all Highlands Ranch seniors to apply today. Guidelines and information are as follows:

All scholarship awards are granted on an equal opportunity basis.

Key Community Scholarship Fund Information

Important Dates:

Friday, January 20, 2023: Begin accepting applications
Tuesday, March 3, 2023, 5:00 p.m: Deadline for submitting applications

Applicants must be:

Dependent children entering school in the summer or fall of 2023.
Enrolled in a full-time course of study at an accredited institution or vocational-technical school.
Demonstrate well-rounded participation in their community or school through volunteerism and service.

Awards are determined by:

Mentoring experience
Community/Volunteer service experience
Work experience
Extra-curricular activities and school participation
A short essay using 500 words or less outlining your favorite community/school participation activity and why
Current transcript, including grades for first-semester senior year
Two letters of recommendation (school-based and community-based)
