Since its formation in 2005, the Chamber Music Society of Greater Denver (CMSGD) has raised awareness and appreciation of chamber music through an annual series of concerts that feature both contemporary and traditional compositions that celebrate the depth and diversity of repertoire written for chamber groups. CMSGD members serve as faculty at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music and Red Rocks Community College.
In Out of Silence, the Chamber Music Society of Greater Denver performs pieces of deeply personal music that gave way to an awakening of consciousness in each member and a lifelong fascination with sound and silence. "Everything that’s created comes out of silence. Thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence. Words come out of the void. Your very essence emerged from emptiness." Wayne Dyer, American author
