During the pandemic our Tiki Cocktails event became a Virtual Masterclass featuring Flor de Caña Rum and fan favorite, Davidsons alum, Chris Motley! Enjoy this recording of HRCA and Davidsons Beer, Wine & Spirits as they bring you an event that will get you in the mood for warmer weather!

Join us for an exotic and mysterious journey through the world of Tiki Cocktails and Rum. The event will feature the history and rum of Flor de Caña, a cocktail making class by Chris Motley, and tiki history. Come experience why the world of Tiki Cocktails is America’s longest-running cocktail craze. We also will have the pleasure to have Flor de Caña's Global Ambassador, Mauricio Solórzano, join us from the beautiful country of Nicaragua! (The original class included a kit with the ingredients to make two cocktails.)

Ingredients & Recipes

Menehune Juice

  • 2 oz Flor de Caña 4 year Extra Seco White
  • .5 oz Cointreau
  • .25 oz Simple Syrup
  • .25 oz Orgeat Syrup
  • 1 fresh lime

Mr. Bali Hai

  • 1.5 oz Flor de Caña 7 year Rum
  • 1 oz Flor de Caña 4 year Extra Seco White
  • .75 oz Flor de Caña Spresso Liqueur
  • 1/3 oz of Simple Syrup
  • 1 fresh lemon

Hand Shaken Daquiri

  • 2 oz Flor de Caña 4 year Extra Seco White
  • .75 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 fresh lime

Jungle Bird

  • 1.5 oz Flor de Caña 7 year Rum
  • .5 oz Campari
  • .25 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 can of pineapple juice
  • 1 fresh lime
