The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association (CAA) formed in February 2001 to address the need for a cultural foundation in the rapidly growing community of Highlands Ranch. The CAA provides a central organization from which educational, artistic, musical, theatrical and dance events are provided to the more than 90,000 Highlands Ranch residents and surrounding communities.

The CAA produces its own events and collaborates with other organizations for events with a primary purpose of providing enlightenment and entertainment. These events are sponsored in part by a grant from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).  Call 303-471-8807 for more information.

Art Encounters

The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association is proud to be a part of Art Encounters, a year-long outdoor sculpture exhibit that showcases sculptures in various media and styles displayed in highly visible areas in Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, and Castle Rock.

The 2016-2017 Art Encounters pieces have been installed in Highlands Ranch.

The Cultural Affairs Association Advisory Committee

The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association Advisory Committee volunteers are individuals that have experience in the Cultural Arena: dance, theater, music or fundraising. They are a strategic body that assists with long-term planning and execution of events, programs, and fundraising for the CAA. Watch this web site for announcements for committee openings.

SCFD Supports Culture in the Ranch

The Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) supports cultural programming in Highlands Ranch in part through grant funding to the Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association (CAA). The SCFD is metro Denver’s unique commitment to its arts, cultural and scientific organization. A penny sales tax on every $10 purchase within the seven‐county region (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties) supports nearly 300 institutions that provide unique cultural and scientific experiences for millions of people each year. Many of the programs SCFD supports provide free and discounted access to citizens. For information on free days and organizations, visit the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District web site.
