Meet Our Preschool Teachers


Toddler Teachers:

Melissa Montgomery   |   Sweet Peas

Melissa has been co-leading the toddler class for over 5 years. She received her BA in Child Psychology from CA State University, Long Beach, in 1991. When not in the classroom encouraging the social, emotional and cognitive development of the toddlers, Melissa enjoys spending time in the mountains with her husband of 23 years and three children. She also enjoys hiking with friends and her Golden Retriever, Milo.


Naomi Becker   |   Sweet Peas
Naomi has worked for the HRCA Preschool since 2013. She has spent the majority of that time teaching in the toddler Sweet Peas room. She enjoys enriching young minds, and developing strong lasting relationships with families. Naomi’s strongest attributes are fostering a warm, nurturing and fun atmosphere conducive to learning. She is proud of being recognized for her teaching excellence, and laying a strong foundation for preschool readiness. In her spare time she enjoys travel with her family, hiking, jeeping, fishing and concerts.
Taylor Hanson   |   Buttercups
Taylor has worked for HRCA on and off since 2013. She’s had the opportunity to work with all ages as a day camp leader, in the enrichment program and, in the toddler rooms. Along with teaching, giving kids one on one time, and helping children; she believes that engaging in activities helps them express and learn. Taylor loves spending time with her daughter and family in her free time.
Tami Ramirez*   |   Guppies & Buttercups
Tami has been working with children for over 20 years. She has worked for HRCA Preschool for 3 years, after moving to Highlands Ranch 4 years ago from California. Tami's focus is to enrich the kids through art, music, cooking, science and play. Tami also taught swim lessons for the facility. She stays very active outside of teaching with her family. They enjoy sports, movies, hiking and exploring beautiful Colorado.

Preschool Teachers:

Alison Pammant**   |   Ladybugs & Pollywogs

Alison came to the United States from the U.K. 25 years ago and became a U.S. citizen in 2001. She has 3 grown children 2 girls and a boy and has just become a grandmother for the 3rd time. Alison has taught Pre-k and preschool for the past 18 years and will be starting her 13th year working at Westridge Preschool. She lives with her husband John and her youngest daughter Danielle. Alison has always had a passion for teaching and looks forward to another great year!



Micah Hoffman**   |   Chameleons
Micah is starting her third year as a Preschool Teacher, and has no shortage of experience when it comes to working with children of a variety of ages and backgrounds. She has worked for HRCA’s youth department in roles ranging from Infant/Toddler Teacher to Day Camp Facilitator over the past 8 years. Her experiences over those years have shaped the educational philosophy that she brings to her preschool classroom. Micah strives to incorporate a variety of educational experiences for her students that offer an age appropriate exploration of topics. She cares deeply for her students and truly wants to help them build a solid foundation that provides the tools they will need to be successful not only throughout their educational careers, but over the course of their lifetimes. Micah is a Colorado native and enjoys camping and exploring the state with her husband!
Rachel Boylan   |    Tiny Turtles
Rachel has 15+ years’ experience working in various childcare settings and is happy to have the opportunity to be teaching in the Highlands Ranch Community Association preschools now. Since moving to Colorado six years ago from Kansas City she has taught at various preschools and childcare centers in the area and loves all that the HRCA preschool has to offer the children. She loves working with little children and helping them learn. She stays busy with her own family when not working... along with her husband and their four children they are very involved in sports and enjoy exploring beautiful Colorado!
Barbara McGillick   |   Shooting Stars
Barbara is entering her 12th year as a Preschool Teacher at the HRCA. She is currently a teacher in the 5 day Preschool class. It is important to her that the children in her care feel comfortable and happy in her class. She strives to create a fun, positive environment so the children will look forward to coming to school each day. In her spare time, she enjoys creating classroom activities, reading and spending time with her husband and their 5 children!
Pya Ram   |   Honeysuckles
Pya has been with the HRCA preschool program since 2015. With her educational background in child psychology, she is a valuable member of our program. She provides a very fun and nourishing learning environment for the children with all the crafts and fun activities she plans for them all year long.

Natalie Hanson   |   Daisies
Natalie has worked with children for over 30 years. She has taught music and more recently pre-K. She has worked for HRCA for seven years and loves watching her students grow throughout each school year as they prepare to go to kindergarten. She believes each child’s strengths provide a dynamic in the classroom that benefit everyone. Natalie enjoys spending time with her family and the outdoors.
Nicky O’Meara   |   Sunflowers

Nicky strives to nurture the natural enthusiasm and curiosity of the children in her class and send them off to kindergarten with a love of school and a passion for learning. Nicky has been with HRCA for 9 years. As well as teaching preschool, she works with children and young adults with disabilities through the Therapeutic Recreation Program, and teaches a weekly fitness class for active seniors. In her spare time Nicky enjoys skiing and hiking in the mountains with her family.
