July 4th Celebration - 4:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

July 4th Celebration and Fireworks event returns to Highland Heritage Regional Park. The celebration will start at 4:00 p.m. at Highland Heritage Regional Park concluding with the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

Join us for balloon twisters, face painters, games & inflatables, live music and of course fireworks!

Shuttle parking is available to and from the event from Highlands Ranch High School and Rock Canyon High School. For more detailed information about the event click the FAQs.

4th of July Celebration FAQs


Street Closures:
Once the lots at the park are full, the streets to the park will be closed. Overflow parking and shuttles will be available from Highlands Ranch High School and Rock Canyon High School. We highly encourage biking or walking to the festival if possible.

The bike lane on Quebec will be closed for additional overflow parking.

Stage Entertainment:

4:00 - 5:30 p.m. - After Midnight

5:30 p.m. - Hot Dog Eating Contest sponsored by Biker Jim's

6:00 - 7:30 p.m. - No Visible Flaws

8:00 - 9:30 p.m. - Mostly Harmless

9:30 p.m. - Fireworks

The HRCA Tents will be Selling: Beverages: Bud Beer $5, Bud Light Lime $5, Stella Artois $5, Lime-a-Rita $5, soda $1, water $1. * Anyone purchasing alcohol must present a valid ID and must wear a wrist bracelet. No exceptions. 

Tickets: $1.00 each. Tickets are needed for rides and games, which cost between 1 - 7 tickets each. NO REFUNDS. Tickets may be exchanged for merchandise such as beer, pop, water,  kiddie rides, etc. Tickets are not accepted by food vendors.

Other Tidbits: Unlimited Activity wristbands! For $20 you may enjoy unlimited activities including: Face Painting, Henna, Inflatables, Balloon Animals, Eurobungee, and more!

Restrooms: Port-o-Lets are located throughout the park.

Lost and Found: Children lost should be brought to the stage. Lost items should be taken to Center of Information in the concession stand near the soccer fields.

First Aid: Any HRCA sales tent.


Hot Dog Eating Contest - 5:30 p.m.

Don't miss seeing the race to eat the most hot dogs. This contest is sponsored by Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs Registration is Monday, July 4th, 5:00 p.m. at main stage. Limited to first 25 participants. 


Fireworks Display*

The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will be located north of in Highland Heritage Park near the soccer fields. Please note that the firework fallout zone will be marked and fenced. It is very important to stay out of the firework fallout area. The soccer fields and park amphitheater are great viewing locations.

*Fireworks show is weather and fire ban dependent.
