The holiday season is a time for gratitude, generosity and coming together to make a difference. This year, consider giving a gift that extends far beyond the holidays by supporting local nonprofits that help make Highlands Ranch a vibrant, connected and thriving community.

Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday, December 8, and it's the perfect opportunity to turn your generosity into lasting community impact. By supporting HRCA’s three nonprofits, you can help protect our natural spaces, enrich local arts and culture, and invest in the next generation of community leaders.

Three Ways to Make a Difference

Protect Our Wild Spaces: Backcountry Wilderness Area Fund

The Backcountry Wilderness Area is a treasured part of Highlands Ranch, providing 8,200 acres of protected wildlife habitat and opportunities to connect with nature. Donations to the Backcountry Wilderness Area Fund support critical habitat improvements, free and low-cost outdoor education programs, and conservation efforts that preserve this special place for generations to come. Your gift helps inspire future nature stewards while protecting the wildlife and landscapes that make our community unique.

Bring Arts and Culture to Life: Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association

From the beloved Summer Concert Series to cultural performances, art exhibits and educational experiences, the Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association (HRCAA) brings creativity and connection to our community. Each year, HRCAA provides more than 40 free and low-cost events, making arts and culture accessible to residents of all ages. Your donation helps to keep these experiences available and ensures our community continues to celebrate creativity, culture and connection.

Invest in Our Future: Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund

Giving back today can inspire a lifetime of giving tomorrow. The Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund (HRCSF) awards scholarships to graduating seniors who demonstrate a commitment to serving their community. By recognizing students who make a difference through volunteerism and community involvement, the fund helps support their educational goals while encouraging the next generation of community-minded leaders. Your contribution helps deserving local students take the next step toward their futures.

Make Your Generosity Go Further

You don't have to wait until December 8 to make a difference. Beginning November 1, you can donate early for Colorado Gives Day. New monthly donations may also qualify for a match of the first $100, while matching funds remain available.

Whether you give $10, $50 or more, every contribution helps strengthen the community we call home.
