Celebrate America's 250th birthday with a festive Independence Day weekend in Highlands Ranch!
The Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) and Highlands Ranch Metro District are bringing residents together for a weekend of patriotic celebrations, live entertainment, family fun, and community traditions.
Kick off the weekend-long celebration at the Star-Spangled Birthday Bash concert on Thursday, July 2 beginning at 6 p.m. at Highland Heritage Regional Park.
Hosted by HRCA and the Highlands Ranch Metro District, this free community event features an evening of live music, patriotic spirit, and family-friendly fun. Enjoy performances by local bluegrass favorite Ragged Union from 6–7 p.m., followed by 2025 Colorado Country Male Vocalist of the Year Jeff Goodwin and the Front Range Cowboys from 7:30–9 p.m. The evening concludes with a spectacular drone show finale.
Bring your lawn chairs, gather with family and friends, and enjoy a variety of local food trucks and sweet treats, including:
- Big Belly Bros BBQ
- Que Desmadre
- Mas Chingon
- Lucky Dawg
- J Street
- Hunje
- Kona Ice
- High Point Creamery
- The Snowy Churro
- Repicci's Italian Ice & Gelato
The celebration continues on Saturday, July 4, with two beloved Highlands Ranch traditions: the Independence Day 5K at 7:30 a.m. in Town Center, followed by the Fourth of July Parade at 9 a.m. Learn more about these events at www.highlandsranch.org or www.hrcaonline.org.
Douglas County is currently under a Stage 2 Fire Ban. For the safety of our community, there will be no fireworks displays in Douglas County this holiday weekend. This includes Castle Rock, Lone Tree, Parker and Highlands Ranch.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating together with tonight's concert and drone show, as well as Saturday's Independence Day 5K and Fourth of July Parade.
