Rather than spreading the work over several years, we’re completing everything simultaneously to save on costs and minimize disruption. HRCA will keep members updated throughout the refresh. Week of October 13, 2025
HRCA is excited to announce the opening of our newly renovated Westridge Locker Rooms! Members are invited to view and download images of the updated facilities, which will be open and operational beginning Saturday, October 18. Download here.
Week of September 15, 2025
Sauna framing is nearly complete, with most of the structure now in place. Locker installation is underway, with initial units already being set. At the rear of the building, work on the back staircase has wrapped up and is now fully complete.
Week of September 8, 2025
Tiling work is nearly complete, with about 75% of the tile installation finished throughout the space. In the Cold Plunge room, tiling is fully done and the ADA lift has been successfully installed.
Next up, sauna construction is scheduled to begin next week. Meanwhile, flooring work is set to kick off on September 15th.
Week of August 18, 2025
Tiling work began this week, and crews have already completed about 80% of the women’s locker room.
Elsewhere in the space, all walls are now sheet rocked, and the ceiling is being closed in following some needed copper water pipe repairs.
We’re still on track for a mid-October opening, and we’ll continue to share progress updates as the project moves forward!

Lobby Restrooms Now Open!
We're happy to share that the lobby restrooms have officially re-opened and are ready for use!
Renovation work continues in the Locker Rooms, where drywall has been installed and the spaces are beginning to take shape. Take a peek at the progress photos this week show the developing shower areas and the common locker room changing space.

Front Lobby Now Open!
We’re excited to welcome you through the brand-new entrance of our refreshed Front Lobby at Westridge Recreation Center!
As part of our ongoing updates, we’re still hard at work on the Locker Rooms, which are scheduled to be completed in September. Thank you for your continued patience and support.
Week of July 3, 2025
Locker Rooms:
The locker room flooring work is progressing well. Half of the new concrete has been poured, and wall framing is expected to begin later this week.
Lobby Renovation:
Work on the lobby ceiling is now underway. At the same time, millwork has begun for both the access desk and the member services desk. Electrical work continues throughout the space.

Refresh Update: Week 3 Progress at Westridge Recreation Center
The Westridge Recreation Center continues to undergo exciting transformations during its full-facility refresh. Here’s a look at the progress from Week 3:
Turf Area
The turf is now officially open for use. The newly completed installation enhances both the look and functionality of the space, and we’re excited to see it back in action for our athletes and community members.
Front Lobby
Preparation work is underway in the front lobby area. For the safety of all patrons, foot traffic is restricted for the next three weeks while crews complete subfloor work and prepare the space for new finishes.
Locker Rooms
Demolition in the locker rooms has been completed. With the old infrastructure now removed, the space is ready for the next phase of renovation to begin.
Youth Wing
The youth wing has reopened, and the energy is back! Approximately 80 kids are enjoying the space each day as they dive into summer break activities.

Refresh Update: Week 2 Progress at Westridge Recreation Center
Upgrades at the Westridge Recreation Center continue to move forward as crews wrap up the second week of the full-facility refresh. Here’s a look at the latest progress:
Youth Wing
Work in the youth wing is nearing completion. Restroom updates are almost finished, and both ceiling tiles and new flooring are in place, offering a bright, modern look for the space.
Turf Area
New turf was installed last week, including added sections around the perimeter of the playing field and a new warmup zone. These additions are designed to enhance the player experience and improve the functionality of the space.
Locker Rooms
Demolition work is progressing rapidly. All interior walls have been removed, and crews have begun tearing up the existing flooring. Roughly 80% of the floor removal process is now complete.
Front Lobby
Activity in the front lobby was limited this week. However, crews continued preparing the subfloor for the upcoming installation of new terrazzo flooring.

We’re making major progress on our full-facility refresh, and the transformation is beginning to take shape. Crews have started demo work in the front lobby, locker room and and turf areas. Check out the latest photos to see the exciting changes already in motion.
This refresh is all about delivering big improvements with minimal long-term disruption. By completing the work all at once, we’re on track to bring you upgraded amenities faster, including redesigned locker rooms, a remodeled youth wing, new cold plunges, an infrared sauna and more.
