Rules and FAQs

The 11 miles of private HRCA Trails are within two separate trail systems, the Wildcat Mountain Trail System and the Highlands Point Trail System. All HRCA Trails are open to pedestrians and bikes. Dogs are not allowed; except on the Rocky Gulch Trail. Horses are permitted; except for on the Rocky Gulch Trail. Trail hours are sunrise to sunset.

Why the Trails Are Private

Why can’t non-members pay a guest fee to access the trails?

More important than taking in extra revenue is managing the trails and the land and ensuring that the land is able to continue to support the great diversity of wildlife and plant life that currently exists. Our top priority is to make sure the impact on the land, the native plants, and the wildlife is minimized. Restricting use will aid in accomplishing that goal.
