HRCA Seahawks has two highly successful competitive summer swim teams for swimmers ages six and older. Since 1985, the Seahawks have held weekly dual meets with other teams in the area during the summer as well as a championship meet, an All-Star meet, and for qualified swimmers participation at the State championship at the end of the season.Enrollment for 2018 will be available during March and April. Please look for more information beginning in late February and return to this page in March for on-line registration details and upcoming information meetings.
There are two teams to choose to participate (based upon skill levels described below). The season runs from mid-May through the end of July with daily practices and Saturday swim meets. Enrollment priority is given to participants in current HRCA Coached Aquatic programs before registration opens for the general public. Required Skills to Participate: Swim 75 yards freestyle with side breathing, 75 yards backstroke demonstrating endurance and demonstrate previous experience with either breaststroke or butterfly.
Team Content: A competitive summer swim team for all four competitive strokes and building endurance. Practice is in the mornings for older swimmers and evenings for younger swimmer at the Northridge Rec Center.

Required Skills to Participate: Swim 50 yards freestyle with side breathing and 50 yards backstroke demonstrating endurance.
Team Content: A more recreational swim team environment that provides an introduction to competitive team practices and weekly Saturday swim meets. Practice is in late afternoon and evening at the Westridge Rec Center.

2018 Returning Swimmer Tryout & Registration
Saturday, April 14, 2018, 7:00-9:00 a.m. - Northridge Rec Center, Basketball Gym
For swimmers who have been on the Highlands Ranch Summer Swim teams in past seasons or for those swimmers who have been in HRCA Coached Aquatics programs (Seahawks Drill Academy, Conditioning Camp, Elites) between August 2017 and April 2018. Swimmers looking to move from the WEST team to the NORTH team must complete a try-out or be approved from a coach. **Swimmers in Drill Academy may register for the WEST team only without a try-out. Swimmers in Elites and Conditioning Camp may register for either WEST or NORTH team without a try-out.
2018 New Swimmer Tryout & Registration
Saturday, April 14, 2018, 9:00 a.m. - Noon - Northridge Rec Center, Basketball Gym
For swimmers completely new to our programs. All interested participants must start off in the pool for tryouts. Once skills have been demonstrated successfully, these participants will be approved to complete the registration process. Spots will be limited at this registration and are offered on a first come first serve basis. Please arrive early and line up outside the pool doors.
Seahawks Summer Swim Prep Camp
Want to Get a Competitive Edge for Summer Season? Want to get a head start for Summer Swim Team? New to the team? Join our week long course to fully prepare yourself for the upcoming 2018 season! This program runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. starting May 7th at the Northridge Rec Center. Monday, Wednesday, Friday will consist of an in-water practice while Tuesday and Thursday will consists of an hour-long introduction to dryland practice. Both in-water and dryland components are key to developing well rounded, overall faster swimmers. Registration opens March 1. Hurry - Only 25 spots available!
