HRCA Seahawks has two highly successful competitive summer swim teams for swimmers ages six and older. Since 1985, the Seahawks have held weekly dual meets with other teams in the area during the summer as well as a championship meet, an All-Star meet, and for qualified swimmers participation at the State championship at the end of the season.Enrollment for 2018 will be available during March and April. Please look for more information beginning in late February and return to this page in March for on-line registration details and upcoming information meetings.
There are two teams to choose to participate (based upon skill levels described below). The season runs from mid-May through the end of July with daily practices and Saturday swim meets. Enrollment priority is given to participants in current HRCA Coached Aquatic programs before registration opens for the general public. - Seahawks North
Required Skills to Participate: Swim 75 yards freestyle with side breathing, 75 yards backstroke demonstrating endurance and demonstrate previous experience with either breaststroke or butterfly.
Team Content: A competitive summer swim team for all four competitive strokes and building endurance. Practice is in the mornings for older swimmers and evenings for younger swimmer at the Northridge Rec Center.
- Seahawks West
Required Skills to Participate: Swim 50 yards freestyle with side breathing and 50 yards backstroke demonstrating endurance.
Team Content: A more recreational swim team environment that provides an introduction to competitive team practices and weekly Saturday swim meets. Practice is in late afternoon and evening at the Westridge Rec Center.
