Art Camp: Backcountry Makers

Everyone sees nature’s beauty through their own lens. Now your artist (no experience needed) can turn their vision into a work of art using all kinds of mediums from painting to sculpture to metal work and more. Excursions to unique Backcountry destinations will provide access to the perfect outdoor studio.


  • Ages 11-13, entering 6th-8th grade
  • 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Variety of different mediums each session
  • Age appropriate projects
  • Counselor camper ratio is 1:6
  • Before and After Care and Camp Shuttle available

Session 4

Mon 6/17 - Fri 6/21
The Art of Change
Tuck your paintbrush into your pocket and lace up your hiking boots because this camp is on the move to find change in the natural world. We'll explore the flux of the landscape and will interpret our discoveries with watercolor, pressing, land art, and clay.

Session 9

Mon 7/22 - Fri 7/26
Tap into your creativity as we get hands-on designing and creating pieces inspired by nature. We will experiment with a wide array of techniques including wood, clay, resin, metal, and use of upcycled materials.
