Introduction to Cotillion (3rd Grade)

Details
Dates: Sundays, October 27 and November 3, 3:00 - 3:45 p.m.
October 27 Class Overview Curriculum highlights include: 
  • What are social skills, and why they are so important 
  • How to introduce themselves to peers and adults 
  • Teamwork through basic social dance 
  • The importance of respect and treating others with kindness

Class Attire: Collared shirt and tie for the boys, no jacket. Dress or skirt and white gloves are recommended for the girls.

Club Cotillion (4th-5th Grade)

Dates: Sundays, October 27, November 3, 10*, 17, and Final Party, Saturday, December 7, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Curriculum highlights include: 
  • The Power of Social Skills and First Impressions 
  • Face to Face Communication 
  • Mobile Manners 
  • Making Good Choices 
  • Dining Etiquette and Table Manners 
  • Social Responsibility & Charity Drive

Class Attire: Young ladies are required to wear conservative dresses or dress skirts (not more than three inches above the knee), flats or low heels (no sandals, high heels or mules), and white gloves. It is strongly recommended that ladies do not wear strapless dresses. Gentlemen are required to wear traditional suits or sport coats, ties and black or brown dress shoes.

Social Skills Essentials (6th-8th Grade) 

Dates: Sundays, October 27, November 3, 10, 17, and Dinner-Dance Sunday, December 8, 5:45 - 7:15 p.m.**

  • Developing Social Intelligence 
  • First Impressions and Introductions 
  • Communication - Verbal and Non-verbal, High-tech Etiquette 
  • Leadership in Action and Charity Drive 
  • Character Development 
  • Advanced Dining Etiquette

**Note - On the final evening, Dinner Dance is at the Highlands Ranch Mansion, Parents are invited after dinner, from 6:45 - 7:15 p.m.
