Classical Music Series at the Mansion

Highlands Ranch Mansion - 9950 E Gateway Dr.

10/17/2019 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association is proud to present a three part series of classical music showcasing the rich history of the Mansion. Each evening will include an hour open house for self-guided Mansion tours and light appetizers. The performances are set to be intimate in the solarium filled with the history of the Mansion.

Join us October, November and December for the following performances:

October 17th - Flutes and Fairy Tales

Join the Ivy Street Ensemble (flute, violin, and viola) for an exhilarating night of chamber music at the mansion. To go along with great works of Beethoven and Mozart, we present fairy-tale inspired compositions from the modern era as well. Join us to experience the stories through music, while we explore the mansion history alongside these wonderful gems of the repertoire.

Don't miss these upcoming shows:

  • November 14th: All About that Bass
The bass line is always such a vital part of music everywhere, and yet it is rare to find the double bass itself included in the classical chamber music repertoire. Join us as we first feature the diverse sonorities of fascinating Czech composer Erwin Schulhoff's Concertino for Flute, Viola, and Bass. Then stick around as we present our version of Tchaikovsky's famous string sextet "Souvenir de Florence", with the string bass providing depth and energy that adds a whole other dimension to the work.
  • December 12th: Chamber Music for the Holidays
Join us in the Grand Ballroom of the Mansion for an enchanting holiday event. The Mansion will be dressed to the nines as we present a program of holiday favorites arranged for string quartet. Come delight in the beautiful sights, enjoy light appetizers and be carried away by melodies that embody the holiday season.

Tickets: $25 in advance; $30 at the door, if not sold out.

You may also purchase tickets at any HRCA recreation center or call 303-791-2500. Tickets will be available at the door, if not sold out. All ticket sales are final and no refunds will be issued. For general information call 303-791-2500.
