Join us for our fifth annual 1/2 marathon in Highlands Ranch. This is an amazing course utilizing the Douglas County and HRCA Backcountry trails. This is a single loop course. The course starts around 6,000 ft and has a high point of 6,400 ft with lots of up and down.
The course has changed slightly to make this run a single loop. Check out the new map and course description. This is a challenging course with 95% of it on dirt trails. Dogs and strollers are not allowed. This course has amazing views, possibly wildlife viewing and a mountain feel to it right here in Highlands Ranch.
The Backcountry Wilderness 1/2 Marathon is a Trail Race in COLORADO in October! There is a potential to encounter ice, mud or snow. These trails are safe as long as you come prepared with an understanding of the course map and use caution at all times. We race rain, shine, sleet or snow!
