Specialty classes offer HRCA members and guests the opportunity to train with some of the areas top sports trainers. These classes include special activities available for a separate fee and require registration. Monthly fitness passes and punch cards cannot be used for these programs.

Exercise Equipment Orientation and Introduction to Personal Training
Take a brief tour and observe demonstrations of proper equipment use. Equipment Orientations are lead by certified personal trainers and focus on safety procedures of cable, free-weight, circuit, and plate loaded equipment for a more enjoyable and effective workout. Information about the HRCA’s Personal Training Programs is provided. Advance registration and signed fitness waiver are required. Orientations are available the following age groups:
- Youth and Teen ages 8-17
- Adult ages 18 and up
- Active older Adults ages 55+
CrossFit Highlands Ranch
HRCA has teamed with CrossFit Highlands Ranch to bring you a fitness program like no other. Workouts are for ages 13 and up and are constantly varied and at a high intensity, yet scalable for all fitness levels. From running and rowing, weightlifting to gymnastics, supportive coaches will help you achieve any fitness goal. For more information contact the Fitness Specialist at 303-471-7044.
CrossFit Kids
The HRCA CrossFit Kids program is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit but specifically geared and designed for children. It delivers fitness that is safe, fun, and effective through pushing, pulling, running, throwing, climbing, lifting and jumping. Certified coaches who are part of the CrossFit family will instruct proper form and technique while encouraging your child to live healthfully and happily. New! Backcountry Adventure Series with 5050 Fitness for ages 13 and up!
Come outdoors and try these adventurous fitness courses that are for those individuals who are ready for a challenge and a change! HRCA has teamed with 5050 Fitness to bring you workouts that are "outside the box!" We are a new outdoor fitness adventure every time you join us. You will be sure to get a physically demanding workout without checking your watch every 5 minutes, plus the weather is no obstacle for us! Adventures will meet at Mountain Vista High School and utilize the New HRCA Backcountry Trail System. However, courses will be determined by the number of pre-registered participants. Courses will be posted at www.HRCAonline.org/personaltraining, one week before each scheduled class. Times and dates are online at www.HRCAonline.org.
Off-Track Sports Conditioning
These three week speed and agility classes are great for your off-track athlete! Classes run on the Turf at Westridge. Gain speed, endurance, footwork skills, core stability and much more. This class is taught by Personal Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach, Sterling Joseph, who has worked with many area youth in all sports to give athletes an edge: soccer, football, lacrosse, rugby and baseball/softball. Special Forces Boot Camps
Special Forces Boot Camps are great for all ability levels: Start by doing what you can in class and then push your limits each time you attend class to see improvements not only in body image and composition, but also in self esteem. Exercise rigorously to strengthen, tone and increase endurance. This class is taught by former Special Forces Instructor, Simon Sasia. Feel free to contact the Fitness Coordinator concerning ability levels.
