HRCA hosts a variety of theatre programs for youth of all ages that are sure to bring out the actor or actress in your family! With a state of the art auditorium, this is a wonderful place for your child to express their creative side.
The Drama/Theatre Program
The following classes are facilitated by KidStage, a national after-school drama program with instruction in acting, theatre activities, and performance opportunities. Each class closes with a production.
KidStage Crafty Acting for Tiny Ones (CATS) (Ages 4 and 5 only!)
Join us as we explore the FUN of acting through story telling, song, dance and prop making. Help your tot build self confidence through playing, being silly with peers, and acting on stage! CATS helps develop self regulation and social skills as well as teaches tots that speaking in front of others is FUN! Tots will also work on small crafts each day!

Alice In Wonderland
KidStage Stars Program (Ages 6-8)
This show is an amazing adaptation of the CLASSIC story with all of the characters you know and love like Alice, the White Rabbit, Tweedle Dee and Dum, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, and others!

High School Dropouts from Outer Space
KidStage Super Stars Program (Ages 9-12)
Strange things are happening at the Audubon Academy, an institute devoted to the study of birdlife. A spacecraft has crashed and the only way the aliens can move freely on this planet is to assume human pods….the bodies of TEENAGERS! The kids at Audubon are doomed unless the aliens can be stopped. But how? Ultimately, another alien spacecraft saves the day, and we discover the aliens are actually high school dropouts from another planet! This is a hilarious show with nothing on it’s spacey mind but laughter. It’s Mars Attacks! Meets Men In Black, along with every other sci-fi cliché you can think of!

A Christmas Carol! – HOLIDAY PLAY! (Ages 6/12)
This adaptation by Theresa Reid will have everyone singing and dancing! Come join in on the fun of this classic Dickens tale as you go through Ebenezer Scrooge’s life and the changes he sees he must make. This adaptation is exciting, fresh, and kid friendly with tons of music and dancing!!
