Covenant Compliance Technician– Part-Time (Seasonal: March – August)
The Covenant Compliance & Assistance Department of HRCA has an opening for a seasonal technician. Primary responsibility will be performing inspections throughout the community and doing related follow-ups. Must be comfortable working with computers. Valid driver’s license and current MVR required. Covenant Compliance Clerical Support – temporary position
The Covenant Compliance & Assistance Department of Highlands Ranch Community Association has an opening for a part-time temporary clerical assistant. Primary responsibilities are to answer phones, take homeowner complaints and handle improvement submittals. Fast-paced office with high volume of calls and extensive data entry. Must be comfortable working with a computer data-base and includes file maintenance and mail preparation duties. Backcountry Wilderness Area Trail Specialist
The Highlands Ranch Community Association has a part-time; seasonal position, with the option of year-round employment, open in the Backcountry Wilderness Area. Seasonal employment is through September 2010 after which time the position may become year-round. Starting pay is $9.63 - $10.80 per hour. Hours per week are negotiable with a maximum of 35. Days of work will be Sunday – Thursday with occasional Saturdays. Early morning hours and evening hours are common. Flexibility as far as hours and work days is important. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Enforce rules and regulations on the trails and in the parking lot, educate trail users on the rules and regulations, provide direction and information to trail users, perform routine maintenance duties on trail and surrounding areas, lead interpretive and educational programs, perform noxious weed spraying and other weed mitigation treatments, prepare and maintain records and reports, and respond to emergency situations. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to walk in varying and uneven terrain for at least 5 miles per shift. Must be mature and knowledgeable in natural resources and able to teach/lead natural resource programs for all ages. Must also be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be skilled in conflict management and resolution and able to remain professional and demonstrate good judgment in all situations. Lifeguards and Swim Instructors
Are you a swimmer looking for flexible hours in a fun environment? We are currently accepting applications for summer employment as well as year round availability. You must be able to swim 100 yards, tread water without the use of your hands for one minute and retrieve a ten pound brick from a depth of eight feet. Employment opportunities at HRCA may be available, but not guaranteed, after successful completion of a certification course. Starting pay up to $11.39 per hour, depending on qualifications. Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Highlands Ranch Community Association is looking for a confident, motivated professional to work directly with participants of all ages and abilities. This part time position requires knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation programs including personal instruction and group classes designed to enhance skills and well-being. Knowledge of adapted programming in the water and on land is essential. Must be people-oriented, flexible and customer service focused. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from an accredited four-year college or university, NCTRC certified or obtain within 6 months of hire, possess current American Red Cross or equivalent First Aid/CPR certification or obtain in 30 days, and able to acquire lifeguard certification. Must also have a minimum of 6 months experience working with special populations in a TR environment, plus completion of a TR internship. Must have experience or demonstrated skills in aquatics.
