One of the gems of Highlands Ranch is the Backcountry Wilderness Area, 8200 acres of conservation space. HRCA members are invited to enjoy the 26 miles of trails and everyone can sign up for various Backcountry activities.
HRCA's Archery Range includes fourteen stations: four at 10 yards, two at 20 yards, two at 30 yards, two at 40 yards, two at 50 yards, and two at 60 yards.
Events in the Backcountry Wilderness Area offer an opportunity to be entertained and enjoy the great outdoors.

Hunting is an important aspect of wildlife management and the HRCA's Elk Hunt provides hunters with an opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining the health of the herd.
